Beautiful Bangalore

Located in State of Karnataka, India; also known as the Garden City and the Silicon Valley of India as it hosts most of the IT Companies.

Recently been renamed as Bengaluru; although both names continue to be used.

Known for its pleasant climate year around with rainy season between June to August.

The City's Airport is located 40 miles from central business district and 30 miles from main railway station.

You can reach the city from the Airport through buses or pre-paid taxis.

For travel within the city the best way is to take a bus; kempegowda bus stand also known as majestic bus stand located close to main railway station.

The buses can be really crowded during rush hours otherwise its very easy mode of travel to explore the city during non rush hours.

You can also use alternative modes of transport like auto and taxis.

Places to visit:

ISKCON Hari Krishna Temple: Built on top of hill at Rajajinagar with scenic view of the city

Shiva Temple: The temple has a massive statue of Lord Shiva in the middle of artificial pool and the entrance is free but camera charges are INR 25.

Lal Bagh Botanical Garden: Hosts a large lake inside the premises, located centrally in the city and covers a massive area with abundant greenery and flowers.
